School facilities across Da Nang upgraded to prepare for new academic year
The Da Nang government has provided 783.6 billion VND of funding to upgrade facilities at schools across the city during the year in preparation for the 2020-2021 academic year.

As of late July, the upgrade of facilities in 35 schools across Da Nang has been already completed.
In particular, the construction of new classrooms, worth 31.5 billion VND in total, at the Hoang Hoa Tham Senior High School has been already completed and put into use in this academic year.
Meanwhile, teachers and pupils of the Ly Tu Trong Primary School will welcome their 2020-2021 academic year at a new spacious facility located on Ly Tu Trong Street after more than one year of temporarily using the Children's Cultural Palace for their teaching and learning activities.
The over 87 billion VND school features 30 new classrooms equipped with air conditioning units and electrical fans, along with function rooms, a multi-use sports facility, and a swimming pool, plus 8 toilets.
A new 78.4 billion VND Nguyen Van Thoai Senior High School in Cam Le District is ready to welcome its pupils for the 2020-2021 academic year.
Da Nang Department of Education and Training Director Le Thi Bich Thuan said that some new educational and sporting facilities will be built in 4 senior high schools after strict social distance rules were eased in Da Nang from 0am on 5 September,
Mrs Thuan remarked that the city has prioritised accelerating some new school projects across the city during this year.
Mrs Pham Ho Quynh Trang, Head of the Education and Training Office of Hoa Vang District, said the district authorities have spent more than 207 billion VND on upgrading facilities in 19 local schools. In details, the construction of new facilities in 6 schools have been already completed, whilst the remaining projects are behind the schedule due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
