The Da Nang Department of Education and Training has urged all schools across the city to enhance COVID-19 control measures amid rising COVID-19 cases in the world, especially in Viet Nam’s neighbouring countries.

All schools in Da Nang are asked to stay vigilant against COVID-19, and ensure best practice of the Health Ministry-mandated 5K (in Vietnamese) motto: namely ‘Khau trang’ (Face mask) – ‘Khu khuan’ (Disinfection) – ‘Khoang cach’ ‘Distance’ - ‘Khong tu tap’ (No gatherings) – ‘Khai bao y te’ (Health Declaration) in a bid to prevent the possible spread of the disease. In addition, prevention measures for managing COVID-19 risks in schools are required to introduce in accordance with recommendations of the Vietnamese Prime Minister, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Da Nang Government, and the Da Nang Department of Education and Training.

All schools are also asked to make their COVID-19 preparedness and response plan.

Primary, junior and senior high schools must take all necessary steps and precautions to ensure the safety of all their staff and pupils in order to make them feel secure while they are in school, especially attend outdoor activities such as meetings, celebrations, and weekly school meetings.

Universities across Da Nang are urged to tighten COVID-19 prevention measures in their amphitheaters, offices, and dormitories. They should restrict non-essential large gatherings in a bid to prevent the possible spread of the disease.
