ASEAN ICT Awards 2021 launched
The ASEAN ICT Awards (AICTA) 2021 has been launched, consisting of 6 categories: Public Sector, Private Sector, Corporate Social Responsibility, Diital content, Startup Company, Research and Development.

As for finalists, the top three participants for each of the 6 categories from the preliminary judging process will then be entered into the final judging process. These short-listed participants will be invited to do a final live presentation during the week of the ADGSOM/ADGMIN meetings, date to be decided by the host country.
According to the Vietnamese Ministry of Information and Communications, participants across the country must submit their applications from August 19 to September 10, 2021.
All registrations must be made in English and sent to the National Organising Committee for selection and nomination to the regional round.
The Preliminary Judging (Online Judging) will be held from October 1 - 22, 2021.
The Final Judging (Online) is slated to take place on December 6, 2021.
The awards ceremony is expected to held online on December 9 - 10, 2021.
First introduced in 2012, the ASEAN ICT Awards (AICTA) is platform for recognising the best achievements by information and communication technology (ICT) entrepreneurs in the region and aim to create a certain benchmark for success in terms of innovation and creativity.
The Awards also offers business opportunities and promotes trade relations, which uplifts the strength and community awareness of ICT in ASEAN both locally and internationally.
The Chairmanship of ASEAN Digital Ministers' Meeting (ADGMIN) shall rotate annually, based on the alphabetical order of the English names of Member States. This Year, Myanmar assuming the
Chairmanship shall organize ASEAN Digital Ministers' Meeting and related activities including the ASEAN ICT Awards 2021.
The broader participation in the AICTA is a chance to promote Viet Nam’s ICT products in the region and the world, thus helping to expand the market for the country’s software products and services.

Da Nang has won a number of ASEAN ICT Awards over the past years such as Gold Award for Da Nang e-Government products built by the municipal Department of Information and Communications in 2015, and Silver Award for AnatomyNow: 3D Simulation of Human Anatomy developed by the city-based private Duy Tan University in 2018.
