Da Nang on track to prepare opening ceremony of coming school year full of excitement
As directed by the Ministry of Education and Training, the opening ceremony of the new school year is slated to take place on a virtual platform at 7:00am on September 5 amid the complex developments of COVID-19 in the city.

Due to the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, many schools citywide displayed videos showcasing their own activities for welcoming the new school year on their websites, Facebooks, Zalo so that pupils and their parents can immerse themselves into the joyful ambience of this special occasion.
In addition, Do Thuc Tinh Junior High School, Hoa Nhon Commune, Hoa Vang District, is widely promoting the TV series named "Da Nang - Welcome in a new school year" held by the Department of Education and Training” on Da Nang TV.
Meanwhile, preschools and primary schools citywide will take the initiative to map out appropriate plans depending on actual developments of the COVID-19 outbreak.
Specifically, for preschool education, pupils will be introduced to their own schools’ activities interspersed with children's songs, cartoons, circus videos to make the opening ceremony more lively and attractive.
Thanh Khe District-located Thai Phien Senior High School has strived its utmost to keep the educational inspiration in the online opening ceremony.
Accordingly, teachers and students will dress in elegant school uniforms with the participation of parents in the online opening ceremony. On the spotlight at this important ceremony will be a flag- salute event and the showing of videos highlighting remarkable achievements the school has achieved over the past academic year.
In particular, representatives of 11th and 12th graders will express their feelings about the school and convey a message to new 10th grade students, at the same time with sending love to the new students on personal pages or on the school's page with the hashtag #thptthaiphienchaodoncacban #thongdiepthaiphien, or through “‘Back to School’ Moments" contest.

According to Mai Tan Linh, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Education and Training, the online opening ceremony of the new school year must be held by city-wide schools under the full guidance of the Department to ensure that the upcoming event, despite going virtual, will leave a host of unforgettable impressions on pupils.
According to the municipal Department of Education and Training, online teaching and learning will be carried out during 2 weeks after the opening ceremony. The ‘study from home’ method is just a form of support during which focus will be mainly on introducing academic programmes and methods, textbooks, and consolidating the main knowledge pupils learned in the past school year.
Afterwards, if the COVID-19 situation is still not under control, the local educational authorities will release specific instructions on online courses for pupils under the official guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training.
