National PC-COVID app deployed in Da Nang
The Da Nang People's Committee has just issued a document on the deployment of the national COVID-19 prevention and control app, PC-COVID Viet Nam, in the city.
Specifically, PC-COVID will be used for making medical and domestic travel declarations, creating personal QR codes, and searching for COVID-19 vaccination information and testing results, in the city.
Owners of entertainment venues, public utilities, grocery stores and sidewalk shops must display their own QR code posters for service users to check-in, which enables people to be contact traced if a case of COVID-19 is reported by the venue.
At higher risk places for COVID-19 infection (hospitals, schools, markets, commercial centres, supermarkets, office buildings, apartment buildings, hotels, production and business establishments, etc.), people must make medical declarations on the PC-COVID app, and their declared data will be synchronised to the city's medical declaration management system.
Staff at facilities, destinations, and checkpoints set up at entrances to Da Nang will scan QR codes provided by travellers to access medical declarations, as well as control and early detect those people at higher risk from COVID-19 for proactive pandemic prevention and control.
Meanwhile, returnees to Da Nang from other localities, and drivers of vehicles carrying goods into Da Nang under green lane continue making health declarations on the Danang Smart City application due to the app’s specific characteristics in accordance with the city's pandemic prevention and control regulations.
The Department of Information and Communications is charge of integrating scanned data into the city's health declaration management system in a bid to analyze and serve pandemic prevention and control, especially tracing work when F0 cases are reported.
Also, the Department will actively work with the National Center for COVID-19 Prevention and Control to connect the national PC-COVID application for integrating and sharing data.
The PC-COVID app has been made available on App Store and CH Play for smartphones using iOS or Android. Smartphone users who already installed Bluezone can update the app to PC-COVID with full functions.
