JobChat, an all-in-one chat, task management and file-sharing platform that inspires teams to collaborate more effectively and be happier at work, was created by Mr Le Quang Dao, residing in Hoa Minh Ward, Lien Chieu District, due to his demand of operating and arranging personal and corporate tasks.

Having inspiration from the meticulous, scientific of the Japanese, especially the Kanban method - a simple planning system for lean and just-in-time production, Mr Dao has built the Jobchat application since 2018 and gradually developed its features till date.

The kanban card is an essential component of kanban, a work management framework that helps you visualize your work, limit work in progress, and maximize efficiency. Each Kanban card represents a single work item as it moves through various stages of completion. Manage tasks with Kanban to help identify bottlenecks in workflow and streamline the working process, which means getting work done faster.

“The traditional way of managing any business or organization under direct supervision is too outdated. Therefore, we have witnessed the born of many task management applications; however, there is no application in Vietnamese that uses the Japanese Kanban method. That’s why we have taken this chance to make Jobchat stand out of the field,” said Mr Dao.

Jobchat features three sections: My job, My chat and My workspace. In terms of ‘My job’ feature, users will see tasks in progress, created tasks and their attachments. In ‘My chat’ feature, all work-related exchanges are displayed if the user sets the "All" mode, and if you just want to see unprocessed tasks, you can also set the mode accordingly. Finally, ‘My workspace’ displays whole tasks of the workgroups under progress and the users who are friends in other tasks.

Moreover, business managers have the right to hierarchical and adjust access levels according to different assignments and business functions. For example, the technical staff will only see their duties related to customer's mechanical problems, customer service staff can only receive information from their customer and tackle their matters. In case business managers want to make these tasks public, they can set “All” mode so that all employees can observe what is in progress.

Particularly, business owners always receive job notifications and monitor their business operation such as new tasks, completed tasks or tasks in progress, etc.

According to Ms Pham Thi Thao, Head of the research department of 3C Cosmetics Chemical Joint Stock Company, Binh Thuan Ward, Hai Chau District, in the past, her company needed to use a host of different software such as Zalo, Skype, Chatwork, iHCM to exchange information, assign work, do statistics, etc.,  but there are still many limitations and problems.

However, it seems much more convenient since using the Jobchat application. It is easy to use and applicable to many different parts and arrays with columns and cards arranged according to the workflow of each department. In addition to real-time interactive features, pop-up notification is also an outstanding feature when someone comes in to view, update, collaborate or leave comments.
In the upcoming time, in an attempt to pursue the goal of becoming a "social network" for businesses,

Jobchat is developing specialized chat features, calls, video calls. In early 2021, Mr Dao and his colleagues finally released the official Jobchat application on mobile and web-based platforms after their continuous efforts to improve and perfect for a long time. Currently, 100 businesses are using free trial version of Jobchat and 15 companies have officially signed a contract to buy its full version.
