Team Ather Sphere, with members from the capital city of Ha Noi, Khanh Hoa Province and Ho Chi Minh City, won the first prize at the virtual Google Developer Group DevFest Mien Trung 2021 which concluded on October 31 for their NFT gaming platform. Inspired by a red book about animal and plant protection activities, the platform allows users to build a virtual blockchain-powered animal conservation fund. 

Themed ‘Technological solutions in the field of Fintech & Blockchain’, the Google Developer Group DevFest Mien Trung 2021 contest, was jointly organised by the Da Nang Business Incubator (DNES), GDG MienTrung and Vicoland Group with the companionship of the municipal Department of Science and Technology and the National Innovation Centre (NIC).

The event attracted 35 teams from 16 provinces and cities nationwide, and from 8 countries worldwide.

Online Hackathon Week took place from October 23 - 30 with the participation of 20 most outstanding teams.

The top 10 teams advanced to the Demo Day, which was live-streamed on Youtube channel of programme on October 31.

According to the contest’s organisers, DNES will coordinate with its partners, the TAG Ventures fund, and Vicoland Group’s Startup Support Fund, to create a roadmap for incubating potential startup projects in the coming time.
