Launched in July 2021, Selly app, developed by the Selly Co., Ltd., in Da Nang’s Hai Chau District, is a platform dedicated to those who want to run an online business with the criterion of ‘3 Nos’: no capital, no inventory, and no worries about operation.

‌‌Mrs. Dinh Hoang ‌Quynh‌ Trang,‌ residing in Hai Chau District, is one of the collaborators who are using the Selly app to finding products to sell online. She shared that she used to work in the hospitality sector but then she lost her job because of COVID-19. In almost a year of unemployment, she works as an online sales collaborator for a packaged food shop in the city.

Trang added she did not need to store products in advance but just posted pictures and information of want-to-sell products on her social networking sites to capture the attention of customers.

If a customer places an order, she immediately goes to the shop to get ordered products and sends them to customer, and then receives a commission from that order. With this job, she doesn’t need to have sufficient capital to pay for all goods at once and worry about any inventory at all. Also, she can be flexible in terms of time.

Mr. Thong Le Anh Tuan, the Founder cum Director of the Selly Co., Ltd., said that from the story of Mrs Trang, he realised that nearly 2 million people in Viet Nam have lost their jobs because of COVID-19, many of whom are mothers of small children.

Tuan highlighted the significance of expanding this good sale model in creating jobs for many people, including mothers of small children, as well as in helping local suppliers and retailers to promote their brand names and their quality products to customers nationwide in the context of evolving e-commerce trends.

In terms of operation, Selly is a technology platform that provides quality goods at the best prices from manufacturers to people who want to run an online business without capital.

What you have to do is to access Selly to find products you want to sell, and then post product information on social network sites like Facebook, Zalo, Instagram... or send it to your potential customers.

When talking about the difference between Selly and other e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Lazada or Tiki, Mr. Tuan explained that an online selling platform can be known as e-commerce site that allows individuals and companies to create profiles and publish their products online. Whereas Selly is an app dedicated for suppliers and sellers. With Selly, sellers do not need to invest capital, do not have to store goods, and do not worry about operation.

To date, Selly has linked with more than 190 suppliers, manufacturers, and import companies with a combined total ò more than 4,000 items with full genuine papers.
