Two startup projects in Da Nang have been named amongst top 20 semi-finalists of the TECHFEST Vietnam 2021, the 7^th National festival for innovative startups.

They are ‘Beekids’ developed by the Lien Chieu District-headquartered Dragold IT Design Consulting JSC ‘and ‘Carus’ by the Thanh Khe District-based Canext Co., Ltd.

It is known that both projects have joined the Da Nang Business Incubator (DNES)-launched creative startup incubation programme. Beekids is a technology solution that helps preschools manage and teach children in the classroom through an intuitive interaction. Meanwhile, Carus is a digital solution for local auto care service providers.

The semi-finals of the contest will go virtual on December 1. Top 10 teams with the highest scores will advance to the final round which is slated to be held on December 15.

Techfest Vietnam, the biggest annual event for innovative start-ups, was co-organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee and the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).

During the contest, contestants will have the opportunity to connect with more than 50 domestic and international investment funds and investors, as well as receive useful support from over 40 organisations and 80 multidisciplinary experts, at both home and overseas to perfect their ideas.

The total prize value will be up to US$500,000.
