University of Da Nang strongly promotes science and technology activities
Between 2016 and 2020, the University of Da Nang (UDN) focused on enhancing operational efficiency of scientific and technological activities.
During that period, the number of science and technology projects increased sharply with nearly 500 projects at all levels with a total investment of more than 60 billion VND.
Also, the total funding from localities and businesses for science and technology projects and the development of laboratories was more than 4 times higher than previous period.
In addition, UDN deployed science and technology research projects, totalling more than VND30 billion, according to the orders of such large corporations and enterprises as Vingroup, Murata and Fujikin.
During the 2016-2020 period, UDN’s nearly 1,200 scientific works were published in prestigious international scientific journals, a 7 times higher than previous period.
The information was released at a UDN-hosted seminar on Wednesday to review its science and technology activities during the 2016-2020 period and identify orientations towards 2030.
On the occasion, 13 scientists and lecturers were honoured with Certificates of Merit from UDN’s Director for their outstanding achievements in science and technology activities and their typical products during the 2016-2020 period.
