New app launched to look up traffic violations
Police in Da Nang said on Thursday that they launched an app for local residents to look up traffic violations on smartphones in early March.
The Da Nang Police-developed ‘Traffic Violation Check’ app can be downloaded free from the App Store or CH Play. |
The purpose of the Da Nang Police-developed ‘Traffic Violation Check’ app is to help road users look up and monitor traffic violations on their smartphones. The app is now available on both iOS and Android operating systems.
Also, the development of the app aims to promote the use of information technology and accelerate administrative reform towards building a smart city, e-government and digital transformation, as well as help users easily and conveniently look up traffic violations.
Apart from checking their own traffic violations, users can look up traffic violation information with registration plates.
Additionally, app users can search for information about roadblocks, forbidden roads, restricted areas within a certain time frames, road traffic rules, and traffic violation fines.
In order to receive infringement notices, a user need to register for a personal account. The application allows users to enter up to 5 registration plates on a single visit.
