Numerous exciting extracurricular activities
Since mid-April, Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture has welcomed a number of groups of pupils from some junior high schools such as Le Hong Phong, Tay Son, and Trung Vuong junior high school to participate in the program ‘Extracurricular class at the museum'.
According to Mr Dang Ngoc Lam, Principal of Le Hong Phong junior high school, Hai Chau District, the school has made the most of the first class at the beginning of the week to re-distribute life skills such as ensuring safety in cyberspace or during participating in traffic. Particularly, this year's local education and experience activities for grade 6 are related to topics such as the name Da Nang through periods and the tangible cultural heritage of the city.
In the same vein, Luong The Vinh junior high school, Lien Chieu District, has organized groups of grade 6 students to have experiential learning activities in Nam O fish sauce craft village and B1 Hong Phuoc revolutionary base relic.
Meanwhile, Nguyen Van Linh junior high school, Hoa Phuoc Commune, Hoa Vang District, in collaboration with the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum, has organized exhibitions displaying paintings themed "Drawing on the battlefield of Zone V".
This is an interesting after-school activity, which not only helps children unwind mentally after a long time studying online but also educates students' love for the country and art.
The museum starts to welcome students
Currently, local museums have restarted a host of programs to serve students. Deputy Director of Da Nang Fine Arts Museum Nguyen Thi Trinh said that last April, for the first time, the museum coordinated with a school to organize a mobile painting exhibition. In the coming time, the museum will promote this activity to create favourable conditions for students in suburban schools to access art.
Similarly, the Museum of Cham Sculpture is working on implementing online programs and learning materials. On this basis, schools can flexibly arrange programs to allow students to learn in class or at home before they come to visit the museum. This helps to reduce the pressure on students because they can come to the museum to enjoy and exchange knowledge together.
Meanwhile, Danang Museum continues to implement extracurricular hours at the museum. The educational topics of the program are built on what the museum display. On this basis, schools can select the right topic for students to register.
In addition, the program "Upstream of memory" has been organized in the form of team building for students to answer questions related to the content displayed at the museum and some movement games.
For the program "Connecting heritages", the museum has organized extra-curricular activities for students to participate in learning and practical experiences at relics in the city since the school year 2021-2022. In this school year, the venue chosen to carry out the program is the relics of An Hai village's Ancestral Church and Thoai Ngoc Hau with the theme "Following in the footsteps of ancestors".
