The Da Nang Water Supply JSC-hosted seminar on promoting digital application in smart water supply system management and operation recently took place in the city.

The event was within the framework of the cooperation agreement between Japan’s Yokohama Waterworks Bureau, the Da Nang Water Supply JSC, the Saigon Water Supply Corporation (SAWACO), the Thua Thien Hue Water Supply JSC (HUEWACO), the Water Industry Training Centre in Southern Viet Nam, and the Training center for Water and Environment Sectors (C.N.E.E).

The seminar provided the participants with professional experience, and new knowledge in the water supply industry, thereby contributing to enhancing the capacity of managing and developing urban water supply activities in a modern and sustainable manner.

In Da Nang, the common points of the digital application in water supply units citywide have been the operation of the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system and the completion of the geography information system (GIS), proving highly practical in automatically monitoring water flow and pressure through sensors and giving timely warnings.
