Since his graduation at the University of Science and Technology - the University of Da Nang in 2017, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung has worked for many foreign IT companies.
Currently, he is working as a senior software engineer at the KMS Company – a software development and consulting company is headquartered in the US and opens many subsidiary centres in Viet Nam.
Dung said “Contrary to what many people think, those who are working in IT industry are very dynamic and creative. Also, they are active in community events or social charity activities”.
Dung's main job is to do programming and provide IT consulting services for clients. He is always ready to support young people with the necessary skills and knowledge in order to facilitate them to approach the job in the best way.
Software engineer Tran Quan Lam, who has worked for the KMS company for nearly 2 years, is also an energetic person.
In addition to his professional work, he also connects sports enthusiasts in the company by establishing a badminton club, and participates in the company’s events.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Director of the Da Nang branch of the KMS Company, the IT industry is now attracting a large number of young people because they have the advantage of accessing fast and dynamic technology.
At the Da Nang branch of the KMS Company, the percentage of young employees accounts for about three-quarters of the company’s total employees, which shows that there is a growing number of young people working for technology companies.
As a tech company bringing a fresh breeze to tech-lovers in Da Nang, the Online Mobile Services JSC, which has developed the well-known MoMo Wallet brand, has recently successfully organised the MoMo Tech Meetup event.
Themed ‘Tech. Share and Connect’, the event has attracted the great attention and positive response of the city's young technology community.
During the event, MoMo's technology experts have introduced the participants to the company’s new technologies, its product development strategy orientations and its recruitment needs in Da Nang.
MoMo experts have also focused on answering a series of questions raised by young attendees such as how MoMo applies AI (artificial intelligence), and how to become an AI engineer. Also, startup stories to foster the spirit of entrepreneurship among the young have been shared at the event.
Deputy General Director of MoMo Thai Tri Hung said “In the early stage, MoMo was just a recharge application integrated on phone sim cards. After three changes in business model, MoMo has now become the application chosen by a large number of users for payment, money transfer, e-commerce, shopping, food service, charity donation, and more".
According to Mr. Hung, from the perspective of a technology company, MoMo realises that Da Nang has great advantages to develop into a smart and creative city associated with the digital economy. Therefore, in the immediate future, MoMo will focus on attracting high-quality human resources to build a technology team.
Over the next years, MoMo plans to build the Da Nang Technology Centre having the same role and operation scale as technology centres in Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Noi in order to develop the MoMo super app into an essential app for Vietnamese people's life.
