An ambulance journey supervision and management utility has been launched on DanaMap, Hanhtrinhso or Danang Smart City apps in Da Nang, according to the municipal Department of Information and Communications.

Jointly developed by the Da Nang Department of Information and Communications, the municipal Department of Health and the city’s Emergency Centre, the utility allows users to book and monitor the operation of ambulances on their smart phones.

Some important functions of the utility are to accurately locate emergency patients so that ambulances can reach the right location in the fastest time. In case people do not use smartphones, immediately after calling an ambulance with a regular phone, they will receive an SMS message containing a link to open a map to track the location and movement of the ambulance.

Specially, with the utility, people can see if the ambulance has departed or not, the journey, the route and the time it takes to arrive at their place to be proactive while waiting for the emergency aid.
