The Da Nang government has announced the results about the application of information technology (IT) for 2021 in government agencies, departments, and district and commune-level People’s Committees (PCs) across the city.

Accordingly, the municipal Department of Information and Communications takes the lead among 20 government agencies and departments citywide with a set of administrative procedures. Of which, 15 units are listed in the ‘good tier’ and 5 in the ‘fairly good tier’.

The city’s inspection unit is ranked 1^st in the group of 4 units under the municipal People's Committee that do not have a set of administrative procedures. For the group, one unit is ranked in the ‘good tier’, whilst the remaining 3 are ranked in the ‘‘fairly good tier’.

The municipal Customs Department tops the list of 6 the city-based central agencies. Among them, there are 3 ‘good tier’ units and 3 ‘fairly good tier’ ones.

As for the district-level PCs, the Thanh Khe District’s PC takes the first place, followed by the Son Tra District’s PC. These district-level PCs are listed in the ‘good tier’. Meanwhile, PCs of Lien Chieu, Cam Le and Ngu Hanh Son districts are ranked in the ‘fairly good tier’, and PCs of Hai Chau and Hoa Vang districts are listed in the ‘medium tier’.

Thus, the new feature of this year's IT application rankings compared to previous years is that there is an additional group of units under the municipal People's Committee that do not have a set of administrative procedures, which helps to evaluate the results of the units in a more comprehensive manner.

The municipal People's Committee requires agencies and localities, especially those with low results of evaluation and rating of IT applications, to make efforts to take measures to promote the application of IT in the near future.
