The final round of the National Chinese Speech Contest 2022 will take place at the University of Foreign Language Studies - the University of Da Nang on November 10.

The information was released at the press conference hosted on Monday by the Da Nang Union of Friendship Organisations, the Consulate General of China in Da Nang, and the University of Foreign Language Studies.

After 1.5 months of launching, the contest’s organisers have received 205 entries of entrants from 25 universities, academies, Chinese language centers, the Unions of Friendship Organisations and the Viet Nam - China Friendship Associations in 20 provinces and cities across the country.

Through the preliminary rounds, the organisers have selected 30 excellent articles to compete in the final round.

According to the municipal Union of Friendship Organisations, the contest is one of the important people-to-people diplomacy activities, aiming to celebrate the 73^rd anniversary of the Viet Nam-China diplomatic ties (January 18, 1950 - January 18, 2023). It helps to promote cultural exchanges, and contribute to strengthening solidarity, friendship and cooperation between the people of China and Da Nang in particular, and Viet Nam in general.

Besides, the intention of the contest is to uphold the high sense of responsibility, patriotism and national pride in the youth generation, nurture their ambitions and aspirations for national construction, and raise their awareness of their missions and responsibilities in national construction and defence.
