The seminar "Developing the innovation ecosystem of biotechnology, agriculture and processing industry in the South Central Coast' was organised on Friday by the Centre for Biotechnology under the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology.

During the seminar, organisations, managers, scientists, universities, businesses, experts joined discussions about advantages, difficulties and obstacles, the issues of improving absorptive capacity, innovation capacity, high-quality human resources for businesses, capital sources, technology incubation, project incubation, innovative startups in biotechnology, agriculture, processing industry as well as the role and development ability of the Da Nang Biotechnology Centre.

Over recent years, the city's innovation startup ecosystem has been formed and gradually developed with many activities on innovation being implemented. Many of the innovative technology projects and products are active in the fields of information technology and Industry 4.0 technology. However, in general, there are few projects in the fields of biotechnology, agriculture, and processing industry.

Startups still face many difficulties in calling for investment capital. The seminar helped the Da Nang Biotechnology Centre - a biotechnological research and development unit in the city, implements technology incubation and innovation projects in the field of biotechnology as well as conduct the commercialisation of research results in this area.

At the same time, there were proposals on highly feasible solutions to promote the activities of elements in the ecosystem in the process of creating and spreading the innovative spirit.
