The awards ceremony for the Da Nang Science and Technology Contest for Senior High School Pupils in the 2022-2023 school year took place in the city on Monday.

The contest’s organisers awarded 17 first, 26 second, 36 third and 45 fourth prizes to outstanding projects.

Two of the 17 first prize winning projects were honoured with special awards. They are the ‘Deep learning’ app, made by pupils from the Le Quy Don Senior High School for the Gifted,  to identify pneumonia and tuberculosis through images, and the project on automatic dispensing machine personalizing user preferences for white-collar workers made by pupils from the Son Tra Senior High School.

The two projects will represent Da Nang at the national-level Science and Technology Contest for Senior High School Pupils slated to be held in Quang Ninh Province in March 2023.

This is the 12^th year that the municipal-level contest has been organised, contributing to promoting scientific research and technical creativity among local pupils.
