Three hundred children in Thanh Khe and Lien Chieu districts took part in a drawing contest entitled ‘Da Nang Children with Environmental City’ on Saturday morning.

Co-organised by the municipal Confederation of Labour and the municipal Youth Union, the contest aimed to create a playground for children of workers in city-based industrial parks and export processing zones to show off their talent, as well as educate them about environmental protection and forming habits of participating in age-appropriate environmental protection activities.

The event also promoted the role of socio-political organisations in supporting and taking care of children of workers and those affected by the pandemic across the city.

On the occasion, the contest’s organisers presented 30 gifts, totalling VND15 million, to disadvantaged children in Thanh Khe and Lien Chieu districts, and gave gifts to 300 contestants with a total value of VND30 million.
