Da Nang-based Dong A University has given more than 200 free bus tickets, totalling over VND40 million, to its disadvantaged students hailing from 16 central provinces in order to help them return to their hometowns to celebrate Tet with their families.

This is the 11^th time the Dong A University has organized such a meaningful bus ticket support programme for students. Till date, the school has supported nearly 4,000 bus tickets, valued at VND200,000each, to poor students.

The funding for the programme comes from the contributions made by the university’s lecturers, officials and staff, and its affiliated businesses at the Festival for Students 2023 held on January 5.

In addition, the affiliated businesses of the Dong A University have offered 20 study encouragement scholarships to poor studious students. In particular, 10 scholarships, worth 3 million VND each, have been gone to freshmen, whilst the remainder, valued at VND1 million each, have given to its poor studious students.
