Mobile library in rural area, promoting reading among children
Most recently, the Da Nang General Science Library has launched a mobile library truck model at the Hoa Bac Primary School in the namesake commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang, aiming at maintaining a reading habit and spreading the reading culture in schools.
Each mobile library carries a variety of books on literature, psychological and personality education, history and other topics to Hoa Bac primary school pupils.
Compared with the traditional library model, the mobile library model can create favourable conditions for pupils to read books in the open space at their own school as well as to participate in many exciting games. This will help them develop creative thinking and a passion for reading.
In the coming time, the city’s General Science Library will continue to coordinate with schools in Hoa Vang District to replicate such meaningful model in a bid to widely spread the reading culture among rural pupils.
