The Da Nang General Science Library in collaboration with the Education and Training Office of Hai Chau District held a book-based storytelling contest 2023 on Thursday, attracting the participation of pupils from 19 district-based primary schools.

Contestants were encouraged to prepare well-staged performances with enchanting background music and impressive costumes. They told stories about characters in fairy tales, and folklore and historical stories, or about Uncle Ho.

As a result, the first prize went to the Nguyen Du Primary School, whilst two second prizes were given out to the Phan Dang Luu and Nui Thanh Primary Schools.

The Le Quy Don, Hoang Van Thu and Phu Dong primary schools shared third prizes. In addition, 13 consolation prizes were awarded to participating schools.
