On Saturday morning, the People's Committee of Hai Chau 2 Ward, Hai Chau District, and the branch of Military-run telecommunications company Viettel Group in Da Nang (Viettel Da Nang) signed a cooperation agreement on boosting digital transformation, expanding the ‘cashless payment street’ model,  creating a digital citizen account, and guiding locals to install electronic identification account (e-ID account) at level 2.

Viettel Da Nang will support Hai Chau 2 Ward in implementing digital transformation-related tasks.

Accordingly, Viettel Da Nang will support Hai Chau 2 Ward in implementing digital transformation-related tasks. Included wil be granting remote digital signatures; making non-cash payments at the division for receiving dossiers and returning the results of administrative procedures; and installing free wifi modems.

Also, Viettel Da Nang sets a targetsof deploying 100% of the VietQR code and Viettel Money (Viettel's e-wallet) at commercial markets, streets and schools in the ward.

It is known that in 2022, Hai Chau 2 Ward achieved many positive results in implementing digital transformation. In particular, the rate of administrative procedures eligible for online public services at level 4 reached 100%. The time taken for handling administrative procedures was cut by 50%. 70% of people in the ward were supported to create digital citizen accounts. 2,658 citizens registered for e-ID accounts at level 2.

On the occasion, the Hai Chau 2 Ward authorities opened the Vietnamese goods market in 2023. It featured a total of 17 booths which were equipped with QR codes for customers to make cashless payments.

Additionally, the ward organised a bike parade and built garbage collection points to exchange tickets for discounts on purchases in response to the World Environment Day (June 5).
