Donating blood for the first time
Pendolino Emma Chiara was very excited at going to the Da Nang-based Dong A University for 3 months to study and research because this is the first time that the Dong A University and the Université de Lille have implemented a student exchange programme.
She said that, every day, she was at the school from 7:30 am to study and take part in some cultural exchange activities such as the Viet Nam - South Korea Cultural Exchange Festival, and the Open Day.
In addition, she often went to the school library and shared my learning experience in France.
“What I find most interesting is that I overcome my fear to participate in blood donation activities for the first time. This is a beautiful and memorable experience during my stay in the beautiful coastal city” she added.
Spending time exploring Da Nang
Thanks to the opportunity to study at the Dong A University, Viale Lukas Titouan had the opportunity to learn about the culture and people of Da Nang.
He usually finished a studying day at 5:30pm every day and then went to the beach or explored the city.
“Before coming here, I spent time learning about Da Nang via the internet so that I could quickly acclimate. Even so, I was still overwhelmed by Vietnamese street food, beer and coffee culture. Even though we don't speak Vietnamese, we don't fully understand Vietnamese culture, but the friendliness of locals has brought everyone together” he remarked.
During the study period, he was able to participate in field trips to learn about and exchange expertise with local businesses. He hoped that he will have a chance to return to Da Nang in the near future.
Impressed by the friendliness and kindness of Da Nang people
Bondoni Jeanne said “we are the first group of students selected by the University of Lille to participate in a training exchange programme with the Dong A University. Therefore, we are always aware of the fact that we must complete our tasks well. Initially, I felt quite pressured because I did not understand the culture and people of Da Nang, as well as the training environment in the Dong A University. However, this apprehension quickly disappeared, when we were warmly welcomed by the school and facilitated to participate in study and research in related departments and faculties. In the last 3 months, I can confirm that everything is going very smoothly and we are happy about it”.
During her stay in Da Nang, Bondoni Jeanne was very impressed by the friendliness and kindness of local people.
She revealed that after completing the training exchange programme, her group will spend time travelling to Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces and cities of Viet Nam before returning to France.
