Japanese enterprises recruit Da Nang employees

On Wednesday, the Japan’s Wakayama Prefecture Job Fair took place in Da Nang for the first time, attracting a large number of local students for recruitment interviews, opening them up to new opportunities to study and work in Japan.

The programme, organised by the Da Nang - headquartered private Dong A University of Da Nang in collaboration with related agencies, was within the framework of a business trip of the Wakayama Prefectural Government to Viet Nam this month.

Addressing the event’s opening, a representative from the Wakayama Department of Trade, Industry, Tourism and Labour acknowledged that the job fair aimed to support Wakayama’s human resource development, as well as introduce its characteristics to Vietnamese young people, heading towards to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Japan - Viet Nam relationship. In particular, the event also contributed to strengthening the Viet Nam and Wakayama ties.

Available at the fair were more than 200 job vacancies for human resources in Da Nang, focusing on 8 occupations: Nursing, Business Administration, E-commerce, Construction, Technics-electronics technology, control engineering technology and automation, automotive engineering technology and the Japanese language.

Not only is it a space to connect international jobs between Japanese businesses and diverse human resources in Da Nang, especially final - year students and graduates, it is also an opportunity for second and third year students, and senior high school students in Da Nang who love the language and culture of Japan and want to work in this East Asian country.

As revealed by Mr. Luong Minh Sam, the Chairman of the Dong A University Council, there are currently about 200 Japanese enterprises operating in various fields in Da Nang. Of special note, Wakayama and Da Nang have certain similarities in geographical locations, temperate climate and economic and social development orientations.

Through the job fair, Da Nang students would have direct contact with Japanese corporate employers, especially those in the Wakayama, thereby grabbing good career opportunities in the future.
