Research promoted in IT
The Viet Nam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), a member school of the University of Da Nang, and the Association of Faculties - Institutes - Schools of Information and Communication Technology, have jointly hosted the 12th National Conference on Information Technology and its Applications (CITA 2023).

The conference’s organisers received 155 scientific articles by 400 authors from countries and territories around the world such as Austria, Canada, France, India, Ireland, Japan, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Poland, Russia, Taiwan (China), Thailand, the U.S. and Viet Nam.
The organisers selected 63 papers for parallel tracks: International Track and National Track with many topics on IT, communication and digital economy.
CITA is an annual scientific conference on information technology and its applications in all fields. The main objective of the conference is to create a forum to gather and connect Vietnamese and international researchers, scientists and specialists to participate in the fields of information technology and its applications.
Within the framework of CITA 2023, the ASEAN Consortium for Innovation and Research (ACIR) forum was organised for the first time.
Discussions focused on creating a platform for sustainable and effective networking and development of the leadership and scholars' community of Southeast Asian universities, conducting research on innovative activities, proposing and carrying out joint international projects and fostering educational collaboration.
Also at the event, a signing ceremony for the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) among the first 7 member units of ACIR was also held. On the occasion, the VKU and the UD signed a MoU on bilateral cooperation with King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi of Thailand to launch training programmes and student exchanges
