19 teams compete in Da Nang Robot Contest for Senior High School Pupils 2023

The Da Nang Open Robot Contest for Senior High School Pupils took place at the University of Science and Technology - the University of Da Nang on Saturday.

Themed ‘Today’s creation - Towards Future’, the event was co-organised by the Union of Science and Technology Associations, the Youth Union, the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Education and Training, and the University of Science and Technology.

The contest saw the participation of 19 teams, including 13 teams from senior high schools in the city, 5 teams from senior high schools in Quang Nam Province and one team from Quoc Hoc Hue Senior High School for the Gifted.

The teams participating in the qualifying round on Saturday morning were divided into 4 groups.

The organisers will select 8 teams into the quarterfinals, 4 teams to the semi-finals and 2 teams with excellent results to the final on the afternoon of August 20.

Under the contest’s rule, participating teams are required to recreate the process of building and lighting the Thuan Phuoc, Dragon and Han River bridges which are considered to have impressive designs and make great contributions to the development of the city.

The Da Nang Robot Contest for Senior High School Pupils 2023 is a useful playground for pupils during the summer, aiming to encourage senior high school pupils citywide and in neighbouring localities to research, design and manufacture Robots.

The contest aims to promote the scientific and technical research and creativity movement among pupils, as well as nurture the young generation to become future scientists.
