481 projects participate in preliminary round of national science and technology student award

On Saturday, the University of Da Nang coordinated with the Ministry of Education and Training to host preliminary round of the ‘Science and Technology Award for Students in Higher Education Institutions in 2023’.

A total of 481 projects from students or student groups from 103 higher education institutions nationwide entered the preliminary round.

The Organising Board established 12 assessment councils gathering prestigious and highly qualified scientists, experts and lecturers in the fields of natural science; science technology and technology; medical science, pharmacy; agricultural science; social science; and human science.

The councils and their members evaluated the students' projects, and then selected excellent ones for the final round slated for November 2023.

The Ministry of Education and Training-hosted annual science and technology Award aims to contribute to improving the quality of training and scientific research; developing students' thinking, self-study, self-research and innovation capacity; encouraging and promoting the scientific research movement among students effectively and practically.

It is known that the preliminary round featured 15 projects by students from the University of Da Nang. In the 2022-2023 academic year, the University of Da Nang had one international, 55 national and ministerial-level, and 24 provincial and municipal prizes in science and technology.
