The Da Nang Department of Education and Training held a ceremony on Monday to honour pupils and teachers for their outstanding achievement at the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad 2023.

At the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad 2023 in May, Le Ngoc Bao Anh, a 12^th grader of the city-based Le Quy Don Senior High School for the Gifted, won a bronze medal.

Accordingly, Anh was awarded a Certificate of Merit and a bonus of VND60 million from the municipal People’s Committee. Meanwhile, a bonus of VND28 million was given to a group of teachers involved in fostering, teaching and guiding Bao Anh directly.

Speaking at the honouring ceremony, municipal People's Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh acknowledged, praised and congratulated Le Ngoc Bao Anh and his teachers on their achievement.

He added that the abovementioned achievement was attributed to Anh’s hard studying and the dedication of his teachers. It was not only meaningful to Bao Anh and his families but also the pride of the city's education sector.

Mr. Chinh expressed his hope that Bao Anh personally will continue to make every effort to conquer new heights of knowledge in the coming time.
