The Da Nang government has issued a document requesting agencies and units to implement the roadmap for applying Building Information Modeling (BIM) in construction activities.

BIM is a digital representation of physical and functional characteristics of a facility. BIM is a shared knowledge resource for information about a facility forming a reliable basis for decisions during its life-cycle; defined as existing from earliest conception to demolition.

Accordingly, the Department of Transport shall propose project management boards, investors, and investors of traffic projects and works across the city to study and promptly apply the regulations on the BIM application roadmap. As for projects applying BIM, it is recommended to provide data to the Department of

Transport and related agencies to promptly integrate and use data from BIM into IT platforms, applications, software under the ‘Smart City’ project and other related fields.
