The University of Science and Technology under the University of Da Nang held a ceremony on Wednesday to honour students for their outstanding achievements in domestic and international competitions.

Accordingly, in 2023, 152 local students won high prizes at international, national and municipal-level competitions in the fields of information technology, science and technology, architecture and environment.

Among them, three took silver and bronze medals at the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) for the Asian region held in Viet Nam’s Hue City and Indonesia.

40 students grabbed national awards, whilst more than 100 took municipal-level awards and equivalent ones such as champions of ICPC national and central region competitions, first prize in science and technology for students in higher education institutions, many high prizes at the National Informatics Olympiad and Mechanics Olympiad, and first prize at a contest to find the best ideas for floral displays and lighting decorations in Da Nang for the Tet Festival 2023.

Notably, many students simultaneously won municipal, national and international - level awards. The university honoured and rewarded outstanding students with a total amount of more than VND44 million.
