A drawing contest, which has ‘Children in Hai Chau District join hands to prevent and combat forms of child labour, including online child sexual exploitation and abuse’ as its theme, took place in Da Nang on Saturday.

Co-organised by the authorities of Hai Chau District and the World Vision Organisation, the contest attracted 60 pupils from primary and junior high schools across the district.
It was a place to promote the painting and fine arts talents of local pupils, and raise their voices through quality works.
In addition, the contest was a practical activity, aimed at raising awareness of units and sectors at all levels, families, children and social communities about the harmful effects of children working early and working in unhealthy conditions, and online sexual exploitation.
This, thereby, contributed to raising a common voice in the process of fighting, preventing and minimising child labour; promoting the implementation of children's rights; and creating a safe, friendly, healthy living environment and opportunities for children to develop comprehensively.
The organisers will award prizes to quality works at schools from January 30 to February 2.
The most outstanding paintings will be selected to display on the occasion of Action Month for Children 2024 and the World Day Against Child Labour (June 12).
