2024 is expected to witness a surge in investment in new fields and technologies that require human resources to clearly understand market trends to meet the requirements of recruiters.

According to the Da Nang Department of Information and Communications, as of December 2023, the city had housed 2.3 digital technology enterprises per 1,000 inhabitants, three times higher than the national average rate, with a total IT industry workforce of about 47,500 people.

In 2024, the demand for recruiting human resource for the city's IT industry is expected to reach more than 7,500 personnel, including 5,000 highly qualified ones. With such a great recruitment demand, job outlook for IT human resources is very positive.

The city branch of the Tien Phat Technology JSC, located in Hai Chau District’s Binh Thuan Ward, is a good case in point. It regularly recruits more than 15 positions on monitoring the operation and exploitation of telecommunications equipment systems; handling errors on IT equipment systems; researching new technologies and optimising the system; and operating and testing software systems.

The programming field still garners interest from businesses when the number of searches for human resources through recruitment news and posts accounts for a large proportion and is the most popular in the IT industry.

Normally, programmers can work in different fields such as software development, mobile applications, websites and others in order to meet the requirements of businesses in the new trend.

The development of leading technology enterprises in the city such as FPT Software, Viettel and VNG has created strong competitiveness in IT human resources.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Son, Head of Representative Office of the BRAVO Software JSC in Da Nang, said that, in 2024, the company will continue to compete with other city-based businesses in the city in recruiting programmers to research and create software and applications to serve customers. Since early January 2024, he has started recruiting dozens more programmers.

Similarly, the branch of the Monstarlab Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Da Nang is promoting recruitment of many IT engineers to implement new projects in 2024.

In recent years, the city’s IT industry has been focusing on recruiting experienced and highly qualified personnel instead of interns and new graduates.

Director of the Jobkey JSC Ta Quoc Khanh, who is operating the recruitment website www.vieclamdanang.vn which supporting dozens of businesses looking for IT personnel every month, said that, in the coming time, recruitment needs relating to Frontend, Java, Tester,  and Automation Testing skills are decreasing in number but still leading in the employment structure.

Meanwhile, there will be a significant increase in the recruitment demand for jobs involving in BA, DevOps and Comtor skills with good salaries in 2024.The Python and AI skills are forecast to have great potential for development in the future.

Notably, 2024 will be the time when Node.js skills can develop because businesses are paying attention and investing heavily to build many types of applications, including website and mobile, real-time, and data processing apps.

Mr. Pham Kim Son, Chairman of the Da Nang Software Business Association, stressed the necessity for candidates to improve their soft skills and professional knowledge to be able to find a job in the IT industry.

Another advice for job seekers is to learn about employers to better understand recruitment requirements, thereby preparing appropriate application documents, he emphasised.

In general, the trend of recruiting IT human resources in Da Nang is expected to be very positive in 2024, with large recruitment demand and high salaries, and the IT industry is an attractive career choice.
