At the event, competition teams from participating schools got actively involved in exchange activities in the ‘Little Scientists’ and ‘Wise Men’ contests, as well as sports activities and folk games such as tug of war, hitting the hanging clay pots, throwing cans, mandarin square capturing, pouring water into bottles, and flashmod.
According to Mrs. Le Thi Hoang Chinh, Head of the Education and Training Office of Thanh Khe District, the festival provided a good opportunity for teachers and pupils across the district to exchange and share experience in organising STEM teaching and learning activities inside and outside of schools.
In addition, the event contributed to spreading information about STEM education activities to parents, pupils and the community, as well as helping pupils discover their own potential, explore science and technology, and promote creativity to solve real-life problems.
In recent times, many primary schools in the district have deployed STEM education programmes in many forms such as STEM lessons, STEM experience activities, and getting acquainted with scientific and technical research.
