Career-guidance programme offered to over 4,500 students, workers in Da Nang
The Da Nang Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs coordinated with the municipal Department of Education and Training and Son Tra District People's Committee to offer a career guidance programme on Sunday to foster students’ awareness about career choices and study plans.

The programme attracted more than 4,500 students in grades 9 and 12 from junior and senior high schools, and continuing education centres, as well as workers with vocational training needs across the city.
During the event, 15 colleges, 2 intermediate schools and 5 vocational education establishments participated in consulting and enrollment activities.
The total number of training occupations that the establishments need to enroll students in is 213. The total enrollment need is 25,176 targets at 3 levels, of which college level 8,998 targets, intermediate level 8,018, and elementary level 8,160.
At the same time, there were shows demonstrating vocational skills, and displaying training equipment and products of students.
According to Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen The Tuan, the economy of the city in particular and that of the country in general were moving towards developing industry and services with many new industries and occupations, requiring highly skilled workers who master technology. Therefore, to have sustainable jobs and stable income, students and workers need to study and improve their professional skills.
Every year, the system of vocational education institutions in the city enrolls an average of more than 38,000 students at all levels. This contributes to providing quality human resources for the city, and meeting the needs of socio-economic development in the region.
