The projects are funded under the Japanese Government’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) programme.

In particular, the Japanese Government agreed a grant of over VND1.3 billion (approximately US$58,065) for building classrooms for the Phu Tuc School and the Hoa Phu Kindergarten in Hoa Vang District.

The purpose of the project is to help children in Phu Tuc Village, Hoa Phu Commune have a school with more complete and safer learning conditions, thereby contributing to improving the quality of care, nurturing and education of children, especially local ethnic minority ones. At the same time, the schools are considered as storm and flood shelters for local people.

This is the third project in Da Nang sponsored by the Japanese Embassy in Viet Nam under the GGP Programme. Previously, the Japanese Embassy in Viet Nam funded two projects in the city. They were a typical boarding kitchen project at the Ngo Gia Tu Primary School in 2019, and the other to purchase patient monitors for the Da Nang Hospital in 2023.
