Experiencing exciting day as a university student
Recently, at the University of Science and Education - The University of Da Nang, many pupils from the Thanh Khe Senior High School participated in an event called "A day as a university student."
The activity " A day as a university student " was organised at the Faculty of Biology and Environment, the University of Science and Education- the University of Da Nang. |
The annual event, organized by the Faculty of Biology and Environment at the University of Science and Education, not only helps high school pupils orient themselves towards choosing majors and careers but also provides them with the opportunity to gain new experiences and deeper insights into the fields they aspire to.
Moreover, the 2018 educational program emphasizes the development of pupils' capabilities, so giving senior high school pupils the chance to access research and learning environments at institutes and universities will help them develop problem-solving skills, creativity, teamwork spirit, and the ability to apply knowledge to real-life situations.
"A day as a university student" is a diverse and beneficial activity, providing practical experiences of the academic and social environment of college life. Additionally, it is an opportunity for participating pupils to realize the necessary skills they need to equip themselves with, to make suitable career choices based on their abilities, meeting future labor market demands. Thus, it helps pupils prepare themselves better for their future career paths.
Sharing his thoughts with participating pupils, Associate Professor Dr. Trinh Dang Mau, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Biology and Environment, said "By participating in a day as a university student, pupils can vividly imagine the field of study and profession through visiting classrooms, research centers, and laboratories. Pupils can set academic goals and personal development based on what they aspire to achieve in the future. This encourages pupils to strive harder in their studies and personal endeavors."
In addition to experiencing the practical aspects of different professions, pupils also receive guidance from teachers on study methods, goal-setting, and how to acquire new skills. The model will be expanded by the Thanh Khe Senior High School with the aim of providing clearer career direction, motivating pupils to strive and acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to prepare themselves for the future.
Moved by the meaningful and refreshing experience, pupil Nguyen Van Phi Anh shared that this experiential journey is very meaningful, not only helping us understand the group of professions we are choosing courses for in the new curriculum but also enlightening us with practical lessons that we find difficult to grasp in theory alone.
The experience session helped school pupils understand more about the Faculty of Biology and Environment, gained insight into the University Science and Education- the University of Da Nang, and most importantly, gained a better understanding of their own aspirations, thus laying the foundation for their future direction based on their passions.
