This school year marks many important events. In particular, the General Education Programme (GET) 2018 has been implemented nationwide at all levels. And this is also the first year the whole country organised the 2025 senior high school graduation exam according to GET.

Compared to other localities, Da Nang has a humane, specific and timely mechanism for education and training.

In addition to strongly implementing school construction projects, the city has proposed a tuition-free policy for pupils. The 2024-2025 school year is the fourth year in row that pupils citywide are exempt from tuition fees.

Specifically, the tuition waiver is applicable to preschoolers, and primary and secondary school pupils, as well as to pupils studying high school cultural knowledge and general education programs in public and private vocational education institutions.

Thanks to the city's timely support, many parents have reduced the financial burden on their children, especially for families with many children.

In addition to specific policies and guidelines imbued with the humanistic spirit for the cause of "growing people", the education and training sector continues to advise the municipal People's Committee to compile local educational materials for grades 5, 9, and 12 to teach in schools; as well as prioritises capital to implement the project to build, upgrade, and expand schools during the 2021-2025 period.

At the same time, the focus has been on implementing important projects and resolutions such as "Career education and orientation for high school puoils in the 2019-2025 period", and resolutions regulating policies for preschool children, preschool teachers at private preschools related to industrial parks in the city. This aims to care for and invest in education and training in a more universal and comprehensive manner in all fields, helping all subjects to go to school and have the opportunity to learn for life.

In recent years, Da Nang has been identified as the economic, political, financial, cultural, tourism, educational and training, scientific and technological, and specialised medical centre of Central Viet Nam and the whole country.

The Politburo issued Conclusion No. 79-KL/TW on continuing to implement Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW of the Politburo on building and developing Da Nang until 2030, with a vision to 2045. The National Assembly issued Resolution No. 136/2024/QH15 on the urban administration organisation and the piloting of a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang.

These are important political and legal bases, solid foundations and driving forces for the city to develop rapidly and sustainably in all areas, including education and training.

International standard training facilities have been grown across Da Nang, helping the city become a centre for supplying highly skilled and qualified human resources for the domestic and international markets.

Recently, the city has focused on building the Project "Developing the field of semiconductor and artificial intelligence in Da Nang" with the goal of training 5,000 semiconductor engineers in the city by 2030, providing enough high-quality human resources for businesses operating in the city and the region. This is a job opportunity, a place to demonstrate the talents of generations of students in the city.

With the efforts of the entire political system, education and training sector, local authorities have created a good, safe and modern learning environment at all levels for pupils to develop their own abilities, contributing to the formation of new people with courage, rich in knowledge, rich in love for their homeland and country, and with their own culture, values and identity of Da Nang people, to join hands in building an increasingly rich and beautiful city.
