Da Nang Youth Creativity Festival kicks off
The Youth Creativity Festival and Science and Technology Exhibition for Da Nang Students in 2024 themed "Digital Transformation - Innovative Startup Space" took place in the city on Saturday.

Co-organised by the University of Da Nang (UDN) and the municipal Department of Science and Technology, the event provided the good opportunity for local students to interact with science and technology enterprises, innovative startups, and prestigious speakers, as well as introduce and display their scientific research products.

In the past academic year, UDN students achieved many encouraging achievements, including 4 prizes in the 24th EURÉKA Scientific Research Contest for Students; 12 out of the 15 prizes in the municipal-level Scientific Research Competition for Students; the first prize in the 5th SV-Startup Contest organized by the Ministry of Education and Training; and the Champion of the Cesim Viet Nam 2023, a business simulation competition.
Notably, two female students won the "Viet Nam Science and Technology Female Students" Award 2022.
Additionally, students from UDN won 3 second, 4 third and 1 consolation prizes at the 29th National Mathematics Olympiad; the first prize in the UNESCO-organised contest "Youth Innovative Ideas for an Ocean without Plastic"; a second, a third and 3 fourth prizes at the 11th National Student Chemistry Olympiad in 2023; and 12 prizes in other categories.
The UDN signed Memoranda of Understanding with the National Innovation Center (NIC) under the Ministry of Planning and Investment, and the Sun Edu International Education JSC, on developing semiconductor and AI ecosystem. |
The festival gathered more than 60 scientific research products and startup projects, developed by UDN students. These were ideas, suggestions, and feasible solutions to promote the sustainable development of UDN, and contribute to local and national socio-economic development, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son, Vice President of UDN said.
On the occasion, the UDN awarded 11 Student Scientific Research Awards for the 2023-2024 academic year, including 2 first, 3 second, 3 third and 3 consolation prizes with a total amount of VND 124 million.
Moreover, the UDN signed Memoranda of Understanding with the National Innovation Center (NIC) under the Ministry of Planning and Investment, and the Sun Edu International Education JSC, on developing semiconductor and AI ecosystem.
