Le Van Hien Talent Encouragement Award in 2024 given to outstanding students

A ceremony was held in Da Nang’s Ngu Hanh Son District on Sunday to honour outstanding pupils and students for the 2023-2024 school year.

In particular, 58 pupils and students with high academic achievements in the 2023-2024 school year were presented with the Le Van Hien Talent Encouragement Award. 22 of them were primary school pupils, 20 were junior high school pupils, 7 were senior high school pupils, and 9 were excellent university graduates.

Aside from Le Van Hien Talent Encouragement Award recipients, the People's Committee and the Study Encouragement Association of Ngu Hanh Son District awarded 84 students who passed the university entrance exam with 26 points or more and were directly admitted to public universities, including 8 children from social policy families and poor households with 24 points or more.

The total prize money for the awards was more than VND 100 million, funded by the district budget and sponsored by the family of Mrs. Dang Le Chi (maternal granddaughter of Mr. Le Van Hien) and the family of Mr. Phan Viet Anh (paternal grandson of Mr. Le Van Hien), and the Ut Lan and Quoc Hiep fine art stone sculpture establishments.

Over the past 17 years, the Le Van Hien Talent Encouragement Award of Ngu Hanh Son District has contributed to encouraging and motivating the emulation movement of studying culture and training moral qualities of students in the locality.
