The Da Nang Department of Science and Technology announced on Wednesday that it has visited and had a working session with the joint venture among the University of Sydney, Macquarie University, and the University of New South Wales (Semiconductor Sector Service Bureau - S3B).
During the meeting, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Science and Technology Le Thi Thuc introduced the potential of the innovative start-up ecosystem in Da Nang, including high-quality human resources, and the dynamism, creativity and determination of many young startups in information technology, artificial intelligence, and semiconductors.
The delegation also invited S3B and S3B's partners to attend a number of important events in the city next year such as the Da Nang Innovation Startup Festival (SURF), the Da Nang Venture and Angel Summit (DAVAS), and the Da Nang Semiconductor Day.
The purpose is to introduce and demonstrate technologies of S3B and its partners to individuals, organisations and businesses in Da Nang; as well as to facilitate Da Nang to learn how to operate and support the commercialisation of research, participate in training programme, and attend semiconductor events in Australia.
The two sides highly appreciated the role and importance of this cooperation and pledged to continue to work closely to promote the relationship between S3B and Da Nang in scientific research, technology transfer and innovative startup development in the semiconductor field, aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of the Da Nang city startup ecosystem in the coming time.
