Da Nang has been honoured with Vietnam Digital Awards in 2024 for its solutions on Smart Monitoring and Operating System, and the Digital Journey Monitoring Platform, announced at a ceremony held in the capital city of Ha Noi on Saturday morning.

At the awards ceremony, co-organised by the Viet Nam Digital Communications Association and VietTimes Electronic Magazine, 11 State agencies and 15 enterprises and public service units were honoured for their outstanding digital transformation results.

Specifically, the People's Committee of Da Nang received the Vietnam Digital Award in 2024 with the solution "Da Nang Smart Monitoring and Operating System".

This system has linked specialised systems, serving the direction, operation, coordination, and information sharing among State agencies in order to improve the quality of public services.

The rate of processing and responding to comments and suggestions from agencies and units through the system reached 99.7%, of which 91.3% were processed on time.

The Da Nang Department of Information and Communications was honored with the solution "Digital journey monitoring platform".

As part of the city's smart city application ecosystem, deployed since August 2022, the platform targets people, ambulance drivers, and emergency teams. Aside from mobile phone, the platform has a web version. It has a map on the screen to serve the operation and management of the Emergency Centre and the municipal Department of Health. Through the survey, the level of satisfaction of people with the platform is 4.8 out of 5 stars.

The annual Vietnam Digital Awards, sponsored by the Ministry of Information and Communications, aims to honour the outstanding digital transformation achievements of state agencies, public service units, businesses and individuals which have contributed to promoting the national digital transformation.

The organiser said that it received 400 entries from agencies, organisations and enterprises across the country. In addition to applications from central agencies and large technology enterprises such as the Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Viettel, FPT, MobiFone, etc., there were applications from grassroots units such as People's Committees of wards and communes, universities, senior high schools and many individuals.

Regarding the recipients, the new feature of Vietnam Digital Awards 2024 is to prioritise honouring the digital transformation achievements of State agencies (11 agencies). This is also the first year that 4 humane digital transformation products and solutions have been honoured.

Also at the event, 6 public service units, 9 enterprises and 19 digital transformation solutions were honoured for their active contributions to promoting the development of the digital economy.
