Covering an area of 242 m², the facility features a protective dome system and an assembled swimming pool with dimensions of 6.6x15.6m, a height of 1.2m and a water level of 0.9m.

The construction of the swimming pool cost more than VND 900 million, of which VND 700 million came from the Community Disaster Risk Reduction Fund, whilst the rest was the local counterpart fund.

This is the 13th school swimming pool that has been funded by the Fund’s “Joining hands to help children learn to swim safely” programme. The programme aims to help children learn to swim in a safe environment, while equipping them with skills to protect themselves in dangerous situations.

The swimming pool project at the Hoa Ninh Primary School is not only important for the school pupils but also has a positive impact on the surrounding community, especially in riverside and rural areas.
