Municipal-level Science and Technology Contest 2024 attracts 190 projects
The Da Nang Science and Technology Contest for junior and senior high school pupils in the 2024-2025 academic year opened at the Nguyen Khuyen Junior and Senior High School on Saturday.

Hosted by the municipal Department of Education and Training, this year's competition attracts 190 projects of 354 pupils and 211 instructors from 37 junior and senior high schools. This year sees a rise of 16 in the number of registered projects compared to the 2023-2024 school year.
To facilitate project appraisal, the Department divided the projects in 22 fields into 5 subcommittees including: chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, energy subcommittee (27 projects); embedded systems, system software, mathematics (60 projects); environmental engineering, earth and environmental sciences, plant sciences, materials sciences, animal sciences (20 projects); physical energy, mechanical engineering, physics and astronomy, robotics and intelligent machines (26 projects); and social and behavioral sciences (57 projects).

The entries are displayed in the judging room according to each subcommittee, the contestants present their projects through slideshows and answer questions from the judges.
The contest's organisers will select the best projects to participate in the national round in March 2025.
The purpose of the Municipal-level Science and Technology Competition for Junior and Senior High School Pupils in the 2024-2025 school year is to help pupils apply learned knowledge to solve practical problems in life. It also provides the opportunity for them to practice, experience, and apply knowledge to solve a specific topic.
