Addressing the ceremony, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Mai Kha, the Vice Rector of the UFLS-UD, said that since the beginning of the 2023 - 2024 academic year, the school has enrolled and managed 352 international students. Besides their studies, they actively joined student exchanges, and cultural and academic exchanges.
Specifically, UFLS-UD organised 15 delegations with a total of 204 students to do internships, exchange, and cultural exchanges at other universities and organisations with which UFLS-UD have cooperative relationships. UFLS-UD also welcomed 30 delegations and 240 foreign students to participate in cultural exchange programmes, including 50 students studying abroad under the Ministry's Agreement and municipal scholarships.
In 2024 alone, the school organised the management and study of 21 students studying abroad under the Agreement and 15 students studying abroad under the Da Nang scholarship programme.
The fact that Lao students chose UFLS-UD as a place to study, research and cultivate knowledge has proven the prestige and academic performance of this university to the international academic community.
It is known that these students come from the Lao province of Attapue. The implementation of opening the Vietnamese language preparatory programme for Lao students under the Da Nang scholarship programme this time is of great significance in developing human resources for Attapue Province. This is also the first year that Attapue Province has sent students to study language preparatory courses at UFLS-UD.
