The Da Nang Department of Education and Training announced on Tuesday that 70 pupils from Da Nang won high prizes at the national senior high school excellent pupil competition for the 2024-2025 school year, accounting for 65.4% of the total. Of which, 8 pupils with the highest results advanced to the second round to select for the international excellent pupil competition.

Da Nang had 107 candidates competing in 11 subjects at the national senior high school excellent pupil competition for the 2024-2025 school year. Of which, local pupils won 6 first, 13 second, 21 third and 30 consolation prizes.

Specifically, local pupils won two first prizes for the Information Technology subject, and a first prize in each of subjects of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Japanese. Notably, Physics and Chemistry were the two subjects with 100% of prize-winning pupils. Biology, History and Geography each had 70% of pupils winning prizes. 60% of the contestants in Math and English took prizes.

Eight outstanding pupils were selected by the Department of Education and Training to enter round 2 to participate in the international excellent pupil competition.
