Da Nang leaders work with Shizuoka University (Japan)
Chairing a meeting on Friday with representatives of the Shizuoka University (Japan), Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi said that the city attaches great importance to training high-quality human resources.

In 2024, Da Nang sent 6 university students to participate in training courses in Japan under the policy of developing high-quality human resources in the public sector and sent 13 civil servants and officials to participate in 3 short-term training courses in Japan. According to the Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee, Da Nang always welcomes and creates conditions for agencies, departments, organisations, and universities, including the Shizuoka University, to introduce educational activities in Japan.
The city is developing a project to develop the semiconductor and artificial intelligence (AI) sectors based on the needs of potential investors that intend to do business in the city and cooperate in training according to international standards to provide highly qualified human resources for domestic and foreign semiconductor enterprises with which Da Nang has established cooperative and investment relationships.
Professor Aoki Toru, Vice President of the Shizuoka University cum Deputy Head of the Institute of Electronic Engineering Research of this university introduced the fields the school is training, with a focus on semiconductor and AI.
This Japanese university has run many support programmes benefiting international students such as tuition exemption and cheap rentals at dormitories. Many Vietnamese students have had good job positions at Japanese companies specializing in semiconductors after their graduation.
On Saturday, at the Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, the university’s delegation introduced the Asian Bridge Programme scholarship and the AI semiconductor human resource training programme for high school students in the city.
