Digital transformation is having a profound impact on all aspects of life and education is no exception. Recognizing the importance of technology, many schools have proactively applied artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching.

Senior high schools in the city are boosting the application of technology in teaching activities.

In Da Nang, many schools have pioneered in applying technology in teaching. In particular, the Nguyen Trai Senior High School has cooperated with Greenwich University to organize the workshop "Application of AI in teaching" in the 2024-2025 academic year. Dr. Pham Thanh Son, the speaker at the event, shared in depth about AI and teaching support applications. The technical team of Greenwich University has directly guided school teachers to approach technology in a practical and effective way.

Mr. Phan Quoc Duy, a teacher at the school, shared that pupils not only need to understand but also know how to use AI responsibly. However, to do that, first of all, teachers need to master technology and guide pupils to develop digital skills effectively. Therefore, training on AI is not only a need but also an important step in the digital transformation process.

To promote innovation in education, the FPT Primary and Junior High School has organised many specialised training sessions on AI for teachers at all levels in Da Nang. Notably, the training sessions for teachers at the Nguyen Binh Khiem Junior High School and Nguyen Thien Thuat Junior High School have attracted great attention from the teaching staff.

On March 23, the FPT Primary and Junior High School organised the "OPEN DAY 2025", attracting more than 3,000 pupils and parents.

Within the framework of the event, the workshop "Application of AI in learning" took place with the participation of speaker Hoang Nam Tien, Vice Chairman of the Board of FPT University.

Mr. Hoang Nam Tien emphasised that teachers should concentrate on mastering technology, and using AI as an "extension arm" to improve teaching quality. In particular, he also answered parents' concerns when their children approach AI early, and at the same time guided them on how to accompany their children to exploit technology intelligently and effectively.

Another example in AI application in education is the Ngo Thi Nham Junior High School. Most recently, the school has held an intensive training programme on AI application in teaching and educational management. The two-day programme has provided not only theoretical knowledge but also practical guidance to help teachers flexibly apply AI in teaching.

The application of AI in education brings many benefits. Thanks to its powerful data analysis capabilities, AI can personalize the learning path for each pupil, support teachers in more accurate assessments, and provide a rich source of documents. AI tools help teachers save valuable time and create engaging, lesson-ready learning materials for pupils of all ages and abilities.

Not only supporting teaching, AI also contributes to improving the effectiveness of classroom management, helping to closely monitor the learning process of each pupils, thereby making appropriate adjustments.

However, applying AI to education also faces some challenges. Some experienced teachers feel hesitant to approach new technology, worrying that they will not be able to keep up with the changes. Besides, if AI is overused, education can become mechanical, lacking interaction between teachers and pupils. In addition, many free AI software still have errors in knowledge and low accuracy, and can easily cause confusion if users do not check carefully.

Meanwhile, highly accurate, versatile and stable AI tools often come with costs, not everyone can pay regularly. Furthermore, relying on AI in teaching also raises issues of information security and safety. Schools need to have strict policies to ensure that pupil and teacher data is not misused, and choose reliable technology platforms.

Digital transformation is an inevitable trend, and education is gradually adapting to keep up with the times. The fact that schools are actively organizing training courses and seminars on AI is a welcome sign, showing the strong transformation of the education sector in the face of the wave of technology. No matter how advanced AI is, teachers are still the soul of the classroom - because dedication, love for the profession and the ability to inspire are the core elements of a humane education.
