Da Nang’s Dong A University and Missouri State University (MSU) in the US officially reached a cooperation agreement on the 2+2 transfer programme for students majoring in Information Technology (IT).

Under the signed document, the programme will be implemented in 2 phases. Students of the Information Technology Department of Da Nang Dong A University will complete academic training at Dong A University in the first 2 years before transferring to MSU to continue the remaining credits of the course and receive a Bachelor of Computer Science degree granted by MSU.

According to a representative from MSU, The 2+2 programme, in cooperation with the Dong A University, is the first of its kind that MSU has implemented in Viet Nam. The Dong A University is also the first university in Viet Nam that MSU recognizes credits, which supports students to study at MSU and graduate with an MSU Bachelor of Computer Science degree.

Promoting cooperation between the two universities through this programme is not only based on the similarity in the training missions of the two sides, but also because MSU has highly appreciated the quality and suitability of the current training program.

Accordingly, MSU will offer scholarships to Dong A University students when studying at MSU up to 75% of tuition fees compared to the level for international students. Bachelor of Computer Science graduates from this cooperation programme will also have an advantage when participating in the IT human resources market at tech firms in the US for a period of 3 years with a minimum annual salary of up to US$ 60,000.

Immediately after the signing, representatives of MSU and the Faculty of IT of the Dong A University had a detailed discussion to promote the first important contents of this cooperation.
On this occasion, MSU leaders also had a meeting with many IT Da Nang students and visited the learning and professional living spaces at the Dong A University.
